I made it to the Nationals Home Opener for the first time ever.
It was great in that I got my ticket for free from a neighbor (he was away and couldn't use it), but is was cold at the game. And by cold I mean chilly even for football weather.
This was the 2nd Major League opener I had been to that wasn't a Phillies game. More than 30 yeas ago, we went to the season's first home game for the California Angels. But even thought the game was in Anaheim, it was cold then too. In fact, it was so cold that a few of the women wore their fur coats to the game.
I think I'll pass on openers and wait for more appropriate baseball weather.
